Brief Introduction

The Institute of Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics of Xi Jinping, Renmin University of China, is a comprehensive research institution established in accordance with the directive spirit of the central leadership and the requirements of the Ministry of Propaganda for the establishment of the first batch of research institutions on socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in Xi Jinping's new era. The Institute was established in January 2018. The Research Institute is mainly engaged in the following tasks: first, earnestly studying and carrying out the spirit of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC, in-depth promoting the study and propaganda of the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in Xi Jinping's new era; second, actively promoting the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in Xi Jinping's new era into teaching materials, classrooms and minds; third, actively carrying out the work of leading the society with Chinese characteristics in Xi Jinping's New Era Fourthly, we should actively carry out international exchanges and dissemination of Xi Jinping's socialist thoughts with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

The Academy has a board of directors, with Jin Nuo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Liu Wei, president of the Academy, Xu Guangchun, Ouyang Song and Gu Hailiang as academic advisors, an academic committee with Professor Chen Xianda as its director and Zhang Leisheng and Hao Lixin as its deputy directors, and Qin Xuan as its current president, with Wang Yizhan, Wang Xiangming, Feng Yujun, Qiu Haiping and Tao Wenzhao as its vice-presidents. 。

The Academy is an interdepartmental, interdisciplinary and interregional comprehensive research institution. At present, the Academy has nearly 70 full-time and part-time staff. The full-time researchers mainly come from the Colleges of Marxism, Philosophy, Economics and International Relations of Renmin University of China. Part-time researchers mainly come from well-known experts of domestic universities and scientific research institutions. The first batch of research institutes employed Han Qingxiang, member of the school council of the Central Party School, vice-president of education and director of the scientific research department, Deng Chundong, former Secretary and President of the Marxist Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Jiang Hui, current Secretary and President of the Marxist Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Xin Xiangyang, vice-president of the Information and Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Tsinghua Professor Ai Silin, Dean of the College of Marxism, Professor Sun Xiguo, Executive Dean of the College of Marxism, Peking University, and Professor Wang Shuyin, Dean of the College of Marxism, Peking Normal University, are part-time researchers.

Since its establishment, the Academy has mainly done the following work: first, it has actively carried out the propaganda of the spirit of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC and Xi Jinping's socialist thoughts with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and its full-time and part-time researchers have made nearly one hundred reports; second, it has written nearly 100 in-depth reading articles around the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC and Xi Jinping's socialist thoughts with Chinese characteristics in the new era More than ten professors participated in the revision of the textbooks of the Central Organization for Marxist Theoretical Research and Construction Engineering; four high-end forums on socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics were held in Xi Jinping's new era; and five were engaged in three large-scale international academic exchanges.
