Upload time: November 09, 2021

On June 7, Tao Wenzhao, Associate Dean of the Academy of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Professor of School of Marxism Studies, Renmin University of China, published an article in Study Times, thinking that the histories of the Communist Party of China (CPC), New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development across Chinese society ("four history of China") are closely connected. The "four history" are superimposed in time and related in contents. As an integral whole, they are successive and coherent. Meanwhile, the "four history" focus on different contents. We do not consider them as "one history" but "four history" because each history has its own uniqueness and emphasis in content and cannot be replaced by the other three. The "four history of China" education should be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, has repeatedly pointed out that the "four history" education should be combined with education on patriotism, collectivism, socialism, core socialist values, excellent Chinese traditional culture and revolutionary culture, advanced socialist culture, awareness of the country, the rule of law and social responsibility, national unity and progress, national security and scientific spirit. For the "four history of China" education, we should focus on Party history education, and explore appropriate practical arrangements to fulfill the purpose of understanding theories, boosting confidence, honoring virtues and practicing diligently.
