On September 20, Yang Ziqiang, researcher of the Academy of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of Renmin University of China and Director of the Research Center for Youth Development of China in the New Era, published an article in Study Times, arguing that a great cause requires a noble spirit and a noble spirit underpins a great cause. To deeply understand, accurately grasp and vigorously promote the great party-building spirit and the great national spirit is of significant theoretical, historical and practical significance to continuously seize new victories, advance the new project of party building, adhere to and develop the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and realize the dream of rejuvenating the Chinese nation in the new era.

The great party-building spirit originated from the great national spirit at the time of national peril, reflecting the revitalization of the great national spirit triggered by the power of Marxist truth. The spiritual heritage of the CPC members, with the party-building spirit as its source, has enormously enriched and further developed the great national spirit. The party-building spirit and the national spirit are intertwined and unified in the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. They are also  represented in realizing the dream of rejuvenating the Chinese nation.
